Susmita is an Associate with over a decade of experience in mobility research and consulting, specialising in evidence-based assessments and strategic recommendations. She focuses on understanding the trends, drivers, policy implications, impacts and market potential of digital transformation in transport. Her expertise spans emerging technology business models, including shared micromobility, car sharing, mobility hubs, taxi applications, mobility-as-a-service (MaaS), smart parking, electric vehicles, and connected and automated transport services. 

Her skills include feasibility analysis, demand and revenue forecasting, impact assessment, business case development, planning and implementation, procurement support, and monitoring and evaluation. With a Master’s degree in Economics, she combines theoretical knowledge of econometric analysis with industry insight to identify market opportunities and growth areas, helping clients make informed strategic decisions.

Susmita is currently leading an innovative project assessing the potential market size and the economic and social impacts of Automated Passenger Services in the UK on behalf of the Chamber of Progress in the US. In 2024, she led the development of a compelling business case and feasibility designs for a network of Shared Transport Hubs in West Yorkshire.
