In 2019, TRANSMILENIO S.A. awarded Electribus Bogotá Fontibón II S.A.S. and Electribus Usme I S.A.S. concession contracts to acquire and provide 259 (126 and 133, respectively) electric buses for Bogotá’s transit system and were looking for resources for the financing of those contracts.
The potential lenders to the concessionaires required the delivery of technical due diligence to the concession contracts for the analysis and approval of the transaction. Steer carried this out on their behalf, reviewing and providing an independent opinion on the concession contract and the contract scheme, production and delivery of the fleet, energy and charging infrastructure, and operation and maintenance.
We offered a great mix of great communication and disposition to work with the stakeholders, with local and direct expertise and knowledge of Bogotá, the transit system, TRANSMILENIO S.A., and with a complete technical analysis of the concession contracts, the contractual scheme designed by the Sponsors, the risks allocation, the contract remuneration. That combination allowed the lenders to understand better the context and the project.
