Josue Castano joins Steer as an Associate in our Vancouver office

Steer is delighted to announce the appointment of Josue Castano as an Associate in our Vancouver office.

Josue brings a wealth of experience in transportation and infrastructure having worked for both public and private sector companies across Latin America. His exposure to the industry and its stakeholders has given him a deep understanding of the role transportation plays in promoting economic development, reducing poverty and adapting to climate change.

Josue's expertise centers around project delivery, public-private partnerships, demand and revenue forecasting, feasibility analysis, and project structuring for the bus and rail industry. In recent years, he has played a key role in the project delivery and procurement of an underground metro line in Bogotá while working at FDN.

Josue also has experience at Steer Colombia, where he provided support in technical due diligence, transport modelling, bus service planning, business case development and fleet renewal for TransMilenio, one of the largest bus rapid transit (BRT) systems in the world.

In addition to his work on the High-Frequency Rail (HFR) project, Josue will also support the commercial advisory team at Steer. His broad expertise and experience make him a valuable asset to the Vancouver team.

“In this new role, I'm excited to tackle complex challenges with a commitment to excellence, create innovative solutions, and lasting impact on people and economies. It is my goal to maintain Steer's international legacy, drive innovation, nurture client relationships, and foster sustainability in our projects.” - Josue

"Steer is growing our North America advisory practice by providing compelling and commercially astute advice using our in-depth knowledge of transportation as a business.  Josue’s experience in supporting the development of some of the world’s largest bus and rail infrastructure projects will add another dimension to our clients." -Michael Colella
