Steer Davies Gleave is pleased to welcome its most recent recruit, Dennis Fletcher M.E.S., who joins our growing team in Toronto, Canada. Dennis joins from GENIVAR, where he was the Director of Transit Solutions. His broad range of transit planning experience – which includes route planning, service standards, transit operations and public consultation – will further strengthen Steer Davies Gleave’s transit planning ability in North America.

Dennis has led a wide range of transit projects including implementation planning for Brampton Transit BRT (named Züm), Region of Waterloo LRT planning support, five-year service development plans for systems across Canada and community transit development projects across Canada and the United States. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA), and teaches CUTA’s North American training offerings in transit planning and scheduling and runcutting.

Dennis joins our rapidly expanding Toronto team, which has doubled in size in 2012, to support the growing number of projects being led by Steer Davies Gleave in the region, including the development of a parking strategy for GO Rail, supporting the development of the Hurontario Main LRT project, developing a TDM strategy to support the construction of Ottawa’s LRT system, and creating a multi-modal wayfinding system for the City of Toronto.

Ian Druce, Head of Canadian Business, said: “Dennis brings with him a wealth of experience having led major transit projects across North America and we are delighted that he will now bring this expertise to Steer Davies Gleave and help support our growing portfolio of transit projects.”
