Steer is excited to welcome David Sutanto to our Vancouver office as an Associate Director.
Steer is excited to welcome David Sutanto to our Vancouver office as an Associate Director, following almost a decade in Steer's London (UK) office.
David is a transportation planner and Chartered Professional Engineer (Australia) who combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to create urban streets that are more sustainable, safe, inclusive and liveable. He enjoys translating policy objectives into deliverable options and action plans, taking an evidence-based approach informed by stakeholder aspirations. He is looking forward to collaborating with clients, partners and colleagues to positively shape urban streets across North America.
In the UK, his project highlights include making a case for a transformation of the UK's busiest shopping street (Oxford Street in London); driving best practices for examining the equity implications of transportation projects; securing £30 million for a program of active transportation improvements; and innovative data analysis that enables a more proactive approach to road safety. In Canada, David has already worked on many high-profile streets, including Yonge Street in Toronto, Water Street in Vancouver and Government Street in Victoria.
